New beginnings
Another week has passed and I'm still here. :)
This week felt a little bit slow at times, and sometimes it also felt like the time went by really fast. On the weekend I went climbing as usual and tried to stay home to do some cleaning.. nothing really exciting.. but at least days are getting nicer over here, which really helps my mood and my everyday routine.
I carried on reviewing some fundamentals, this time I went back to color theory and perspective. (which are topics that often give me a little bit of headache. I rewatched some old lessons, took some notes, and also did a few quick color mixing exercises and yeah.. I guess in the end everything is good practice.
Apart from that, I also continued working on my project for Settle Stories. I managed to group the composition of the village and block in greys to check the values before starting the color thumbnails. After struggling for a little while, I also managed to finish the sketch of the shoemaker's workshop.
In my free time I started reading the book: Color and Light by James Gurney, and I can't recommend it enough! It's an invaluable resource for painting! So I am currently taking some notes from it and trying to apply the ideas to my studies and projects.
I also enrolled in some of the modules I'll be taking during the first half of the year.. and I'm already feeling a little bit scared, but I'm trying to give my best and keep up with a positive mindset! Which sometimes I believe its what's makes all the difference!
